Volunteer Campground Hosts needed in Smith River. Mid-May to Oct.  Duties include 15-20 hours a week general campground maintenance, and contact for campground guests. In exchange volunteers will be provided with a campsite. Smith River recreation dept at (707) 457-3872 for more info

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) The local MOPS group meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month from 9:15-11:00 am at Brookings Church of the Nazarene. Curry County Cruisers 28th Annual Benefit Car Show–

Sat, May 28th, 12 – 3PM.  Pre-Registration & Show ‘N Shine Cruise through town to Harris Beach. Mother’s Day Breakfast in Brookings!  The Brookings Presbyterian Church invites families to the Mother’s Day Breakfast fund raiser…starting at 8am at the church social hall.  $7 per person, supporting the Heifer International Project.

Brookings Bruins Drama Dept presents Disney’s  FROZEN JR-THE MUSICAL…Through May 7th at the high school auditorium.  Tickets at the door.

The 2nd Saturday Art Walk in Brookings will be May 14th  3pm to 5pm, starting at the Manley Art Center 433 Oak Street.   Pick up a walking map and check all the art exhibits at participating galleries in Brookings.

The Southcoast Humane Society  COLLECTION BINS will be out in the community through Wednesday, May 4th.  A project of the Brookings High School INTERACT CLUB.  Collecting Pet Food, Treats, Toys & Supplies like laundry detergent, Paper Towels, Bleach and Fabuloso! 

The comedy/musical duo  Bridge & Wolak will perform at Crescent Elk on Friday, May 6th 7pm.  A Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association performance!  Tickets are $20 for adults and students get in FREE.  Tickets online at MusicInTheRedwoods.com
